Because of its importance and impact on the environment, agriculture is one of the activities most closely related to the use of renewable energy sources, whose installations are perfectly integrated with agri-food systems. Such is the case of agrovoltaics, in which photovoltaic systems allow the development of certain crops and grazing.
In this sense, we began our incursion into this essential branch of the economy in Camagüey with the installation of a 12 kWH photovoltaic system with energy backup in the Ruta Invasora rice CAI, located in the municipality of Vertientes, which will optimize production processes with a considerable economic, social and environmental impact. We hope that this will be the beginning of a working alliance between RENOVA S.R.L. and the agricultural system that will allow a contribution to sustainable development.
